Our founder, owner, and project manager has been in the painting business since 2005. It started as a way to pay for college and study engineering. After three summers of happy customers and employees, he decided to paint full time and worked with some of Seattle’s most prestigious painting firms. What started as a college job quickly turned into a passion.
In 2009, he decided to change course; to see the world. He joined the Army and deployed to Korea—serving honorably in the 1st and the 38th Field Artillery Battalion. Upon completion of his enlistment, he took the discipline and hard work ingrained in him from the Army, applied it to his painting business and launched Seattle painting company, Tera Painting in 2012. When he’s not painting or working with clients, he is drilling at Ft. Lewis, tuning his motorcycle, or mountain biking down Tiger.
Our team also includes Matt Houghton, who is our residential painting estimator and project manager. Matt started painting in 2006 as a summer job and continued to hone his skills while attending college and climbing the ladder as an Operations Manager at several large parcel/freight companies in the Seattle area. In 2012, his brother called upon him to partner with him in creating Tera Painting, and the rest is history.
