Project Description
This Miller Park trim repaint focused on the areas of a classic Craftsman-style home in Seattle, WA that needed maintenance. The existing siding was still in good condition, so Tera Painting left it untouched and concentrated on the exterior trim and selected carpentry repairs.
The one-week project included replacing damaged trim where needed, repainting the remaining trim, and helping the homeowner select a new color. The finished trim was coated in Benjamin Moore Ultra Spec Exterior Satin in Swiss Coffee OC-45.
Background/Story
The homeowner wanted to update the trim without repainting exterior surfaces that were still holding up well. This made the project more focused than a complete exterior house repaint.
Because older Craftsman homes can have wood components that need repair over time, the team reviewed the trim before painting. A color consultation and sample colors also helped narrow the choices before Swiss Coffee was selected for the new finish.

Results
The new Swiss Coffee trim gave the Craftsman exterior a lighter, updated contrast while keeping the existing siding color intact. Replacing selected damaged trim also addressed the areas that needed physical repair before the new finish was applied.
This targeted approach allowed the homeowner to maintain the parts of the exterior that were still performing well rather than repainting the whole house. The one-week project cost approximately $12,000, including the carpentry repairs.
